DeLong For Nevada Newsletter March 2024

Saturday morning, January 27th I held another coffee hour at the Tahoe Natural Café, which is at the corner of Steamboat Parkway and Veterans Parkway. There was  a great turnout and we had good discussions for over an hour. My next coffee will be March 23rd at 9:00am at the same location.  I look forward to meeting you there and discussing topics that are important to you and our district especially  as we move into the 2024 campaign season.

As of Friday, March 15, 2024, candidate filing  for the 2024 legislative races closed. I filed for re-election and I have two opponents who filed as Democrats; they will compete against each other in the primary in June and I will run against the winner in the November general election. For the Assembly in general, five Republican and two Democrat incumbents are running unopposed this election cycle. The other eight Republicans and 16 Democrats incumbents have opponents in the primary or general election. Two Republicans and four Democrats have primary opponents. All 24 incumbents have a general election opponent. In addition, eleven seats are open seats with multiple candidates from different political parties, except for one seat that has only Democrats running.

We are now 12 weeks away from the state’s primary election in June. I appreciate everyone’s support in the last campaign and hope you are all willing to support me again. For those of you who have requested a sign for your yard I will be dropping them off over the next ten day. If you are not home when I come by I will leave the sign by your front door. Thank you for putting a sign out!
